Appiah Oppong Earns First Team Honors as Statesmen Place Six on All-Region Teams
SOUTH PRINCE GEORGE, VA — Recognition is finding its way to the Richard Bland College men's soccer program after a strong 2025 season, as several Statesmen have earned Region 10 Division II All-Region honors for their standout performances on the field.
The Statesmen put together an 8-3-2 overall record, highlighted by six shutouts and balanced play across all positions. Their consistent effort and team-first mentality helped establish Richard Bland as one of the top seeds in the region, now reflected in their postseason accolades.
Leading the way, Cornelious Appiah Oppong was named to the Region 10 DII First Team All-Region after an impressive campaign that saw him finish among the team's top scorers with four goals and two assists. Appiah Oppong's creativity and finishing touch were key factors in the Statesmen's attacking success.
Second Team All-Region honors were awarded to Joel Hernandez, Hayden Bright, Ian MacArthur, Bruno Gregor, and Victor Manuel.
