Coston Jr. Named Region 10 Defensive Player of the Year; Ramirez, Brown Earn All-Region Honors
SOUTH PRINCE GEORGE, VA — Three members of the Richard Bland College Men's Basketball team have received recognition from Region 10, highlighted by Jermaine Coston Jr. being named the Region 10 Defensive Player of the Year.
Coston Jr. anchored the Statesmen defensively throughout the 2025–26 season, consistently impacting games with his ability to guard multiple positions, disrupt passing lanes, and protect the rim. His effort and intensity on the defensive end helped set the tone for Richard Bland all season long. Coston Jr. has accumulated 274 rebounds, 250 points, 43 steals, 28 blocks, and 10 assists.
In addition to Coston Jr.'s honor, two Statesmen were named to All-Region 10 Teams.
Andy Ramirez earned First Team All-Region 10 honors after putting together a strong season as one of the team's top offensive threats. Ramirez provided consistent scoring and rebounding for the Statesmen and was a key contributor throughout the year. Ramirez has accumulated 378 points, 162 rebounds, 68 steals, 53 assists, and 13 blocks.
Doyle Brown was named Second Team All-Region 10 after putting together an impressive season for Richard Bland. Brown emerged as one of Richard Bland's primary scoring options and delivered several clutch performances for the Statesmen throughout the season. Brown has accumulated 380 points, 70 rebounds, 43 steals, 35 assists, and four blocks.
The trio of honors highlights the impact Richard Bland had across Region 10 this season, with the Statesmen being recognized for both offensive production and defensive excellence.
