Statesmen Shine at 9th Annual Adidas Trojan Challenge with Multiple Top Finishes
SOUTH PRINCE GEORGE, VA — The Richard Bland College Track & Field teams delivered a strong showing in their first outdoor meet, at the 9th Annual Adidas Trojan Challenge, highlighted by multiple top finishes, and a record-breaking performance on the women's side.
On the men's side, the Statesmen were led by standout efforts in both the sprints and field events. Kristoffer Jones claimed the event title in the high jump, clearing 6'8.25", while Nathaniel Harvey soared to a first-place finish in the long jump with a mark of 23'4". On the women's side, the Statesmen continued their momentum with several standout performances. Michaelyn Fisher led the sprint group with a 2nd-place finish in the 100 meters (11.88), while J'Miaya Muse placed 6th in the 200 meters (25.35). Jada Hatcher delivered one of the top performances of the meet, placing 3rd in the 100-meter hurdles (14.71) after breaking the school record in the preliminaries with a blazing 14.28. Hatcher also contributed in the field events, finishing 4th in both the long jump and triple jump.
