Fisher Breaks School Record at Virginia Tech Challenge

SOUTH PRINCE GEORGE, VA — Richard Bland College men's and women's track & field competed at the Virgina Tech Challenge at the Virginia Tech Rector Field House on Saturday. During the meet, Michaelyn Fisher broke the school record in the 60 meters, a record that was already broken by Heaven Wills earlier this season.

60 Meters:

Long Jump:

#4 Camrie Boothes – 5.41m

#5 Samara Stith – 5.14m

Triple Jump:

This season, the following individuals have qualified for NJCAA Indoor Nationals in Topeka, Kansas March 6-7, 2026:

Heaven Wills: 60 meters, 200 meters

Aniah Ross: 60 meters

Camrie Boothes: 60 meters, 60 hurdles

Kristoffer Jones: 60 hurdles, long jump, triple jump

Corey Winfield Jr.: 400 meters

Michaelyn Fisher: 60 meters, 200 meters, long jump

Shyla Cooper: 60 hurdles, long jump

Jada Hatcher: 60 hurdles

Breshauna Miller: 600 meters

Zalen Wiggins: long jump

Lavor Johnson: triple jump

Brian Harris: 200 meters, long jump

 

The Men's and Women's Indoor Track & Field teams will next compete in the CNU Qualifier on Sunday, March 1 in Newport News, Virginia.
