Statesmen Shine as Track & Field Teams Compete at VMI Team Challenge
SOUTH PRINCE GEORGE, VA — Richard Bland College men's and women's track & field competed at the VMI Team Challenge Saturday afternoon, which was highlighted by multiple top finishes and tickets punched for the NJCAA Indoor National Championships in Topeka, Kansas.
Brian Harris and Shyla Cooper led the way, earning NJCAA National qualifying marks in the 200 meters (21.51) and long jump (7.39m), and 60 hurdles (8.86) and long jump (5.73m).
