SOUTH PRINCE GEORGE, VA — The Richard Bland College Women's Soccer team made quick work of Central Carolina Community College Club on Saturday afternoon, cruising to a dominant 9-0 victory at Willcox Field. With the win, the Statesmen improved to 4-2 on the season.

The match was virtually decided in the first half as RBC exploded for seven goals in the opening 45 minutes. Marta Serrano got things started early, scoring an unassisted goal in the 6th minute to put the Statesmen on top. The floodgates opened shortly thereafter as Rhianna Pena found the back of the net in the 16th minute, assisted by Shani Priestly, followed by a 30th-minute strike from Priestly herself off an assist from Jenna Autry.

The Statesmen's offensive onslaught continued with goals from Allyson Klotz (34'), Priestly again (39'), and Grace Pope (40') giving RBC a commanding 6-0 lead. The final goal of the first half came in the 44th minute when Alanjane Granger found the net off an assist from Pena.

Despite a much quieter second half, RBC was not done yet. Pena added another goal in the 64th minute, assisted by Serrano, and completed her hat-trick in the 76th minute with a goal set up by Ingrid Garcia.

The Statesmen finished with a remarkable 45 shots on goal, 19 of which were on target. RBC goalkeeper Piper Whitney remained untested throughout the match. Whitney earned her second clean sheet of the season, as RBC's defense held firm, not allowing a single goal or shot on target.
