SOUTH PRINCE GEORGE, VA – The Richard Bland College of William & Mary women's soccer team made an impressive comeback on Thursday, September 19, winning 3-2 over Wake Technical Community College.
With their comeback, the Statesmen move to 3-4 and are scheduled to go up against USC Salkehatchie in Allendale, South Carolina on Saturday, September 21, at 12 p.m.
Minutes into the first half, the Statesmen successfully prevented a charge for the goal by Wake Technical, followed by yet another successful defense in the last minutes. Goalkeeper Paige Brannon took on a half-dozen saves, anchoring the Statesmen in the game. While the Statesmen fell short on goals in the first half, they made a staggering come back in the second half.

Halfway through the second half, Brannon prevented yet another half-dozen goals, furnishing two impressive saves. After a fatiguing back-and-forth on the field, with both sides fighting for the win, Callie Humphrey came in for the winning goal with two minutes left on the clock.
