Ramirez Drops 25 as Statesmen Come Up Short at Harcum

SOUTH PRINCE GEORGE, VA — The Richard Bland College men's basketball team battled through a tightly contested first half but ultimately fell 56-70 to Harcum College on Sunday afternoon. The Statesmen matched the Bears shot for shot early, heading into halftime tied 31–31, but Harcum used a strong second-half surge to pull away.

Harcum outscored RBC 25-39 in the final 20 minutes, capitalizing on efficient perimeter shooting and a 25-30 rebounding edge to create separation.

RBC was led by Andy Ramirez, who delivered a standout 25-point performance on 6-of-14 shooting while going 11-of-15 at the free-throw line. Ramirez also added four rebounds and two assists while playing all 40 minutes.

Emmanuel Vonhm provided a strong lift off the bench with nine points and six rebounds, while Aleksandar Bihler added seven points and three rebounds. Marcus Banks also contributed six points, knocking down both of his three-point attempts in limited action.

Defensively, the Statesmen forced 22 Harcum turnovers and collected 11 steals, but Harcum's 11 made three-pointers and balanced scoring proved too much to overcome.

Richard Bland (2–2) will look to bounce back as they host CCBC Catonsville on Wednesday, November 19th in a 7pm non-conference game.
