Statesmen Esports Posts Strong Fall Campaign Across Multiple Titles

SOUTH PRINCE GEORGE, VA — The Richard Bland College Esports program closed the Fall 2025 season with a highly competitive showing across multiple titles, highlighted by top-five finishes and dominant individual performances on the national stage.

The Statesmen's Fortnite squad delivered the program's strongest season to date, competing against 10 colleges across 12 matches. RBC posted an impressive 10–2 match record, while compiling a 20–8 round record, finishing the season ranked fourth overall. The team's consistency and execution throughout the fall positioned them among the elite programs in the league.

In Mario Kart Singles, RBC was led by two standout competitors who consistently performed at a high level throughout the season.

Seanon Duncan competed in 13 matches against nine colleges, finishing with an 8–5 match record and a 39–29 round record, earning an 11th-place overall ranking. Duncan's ability to remain competitive week-to-week helped anchor the Statesmen's presence in the highly contested singles field.

Aeneas Leonard delivered a dominant and historic fall campaign, completing the season undefeated. Leonard went 14–0 in match play, compiling a 56–15 round record while competing against eight colleges. His flawless run earned him a fourth-place overall ranking, marking the strongest individual seasons in program history.

Across all titles, the Fall 2025 season reflected the continued growth and competitiveness of the Statesmen Esports program, as RBC consistently matched up with some of the top collegiate esports teams in the region.

The Statesmen now turn their focus toward building on this momentum heading into the Spring 2026 season, where multiple team members will begin competing at the NJCAA Division II level.
