Esports Recap for March 17-April 7
SOUTH PRINCE GEORGE, VA – The Richard Bland College Esports team competed in four separate titles within the last couple of weeks, to include: Marvel Rivals, Fortnite No-Build, Fortnite Build, and Valorant. All results are below:
On March 17th the Marvels Rivals group of Isaac Bates, Zack Brooks, Makayla Chapman, Jayden Robbins, Malachi Stubbs, and DeAndre Taylor defeated Bismark State College, 3-0 in their match. The following week, they also grabbed a 3-1 win against BSC. On March 3st, the team took a 2-3 loss to the Lakers. On April 7th, the team took down SUNY Jefferson Community College, 3-0, to go 4-2 on the season. The post season tournament begins today, and is scheduled for the following:

4/16 8pm – Round 4
4/19 6pm - Quarterfinals
4/19 8pm – Semifinals
4/21 6pm - Finals
On March 17th the Fortnite No-Build pair of Jayden Robbins and DeAndre Taylor defeated Carl Albert State College 2-0. On March 31st, the team defeated Florida State College at Jacksonville 2-0, and followed up with a 2-0 win last week against Lake Region State College, to finish the regular season at 5-0. The post season tournament begins today, and is scheduled for the following:

4/16 9pm – Semifinals
4/21 6pm - Finals
On March 18th the Fortnite Build pair of Trent Callaham and Jayden Robbins defeated State Fair Community College 2-0. The following week the Statesmen won 2-1 against Seward County Community College. The team finished the regular season 4-0 and the post season tournament is scheduled as the following:
4/15 6pm – Round 1
4/15 7pm – Round 2
4/15 8pm - Round 3
4/17 6pm – Round 4
4/17 7pm - Quarterfinals
4/17 8pm – Semifinals
4/22 6pm - Finals
The Valorant group of Andrew Barr, Andrew Basham, Dorien Diggs, Cedric Moore Jr. fell to Rose State College, 0-2 on March 20th, and fell 0-2 to Guilford Technical Community College on March 27th. The team completed the regular season with a 1-3 record and is set for the first round of post season, tomorrow evening at 6pm.
At the conclusion of this week's matchups, scores will be announced for the entire week for each title.
