Statesmen Place 6th at NJCAA National Championship

SOUTH PRINCE GEORGE, VA — The Richard Bland College Beach Volleyball team closed out its 2026 campaign on Saturday in the consolation bracket of the NJCAA Beach Volleyball National Championship, falling in a tightly contested 2-3 dual to Trinidad State College to finish sixth in the nation.

 

The final dual of the tournament came down to the wire, with three courts going the distance in decisive third sets.

 

Final match scores are below:
Match 1: Richard Bland vs. Trinidad State College: Trojans won 2-3.
Pair 1: Taelin Connolley and Daniela Sardina vs Sofiia Khrystenko and Ana Vitoria 13-21, 21-16, 15-11.

Pair 2: Gabrielle Meador and Rachel Pickens vs Emma Berkhof and Kylie Williams 18-21, 18-21.

Pair 3: Rachelle Martin and Clara Coles vs Allie Bishop and Dakota Martinez 21-15, 12-21, 15-11.

Pair 4: Aliyah Millner and Kaylie Klemm vs Kye Gilmore and Araceli Rueda 23-21, 20-22, 14-16.

Pair 5: Richard Bland College forfeit.

 

Richard Bland concludes the season with a 16-15 overall record, with valuable postseason experience and momentum to build on heading into the future.
