Men's Soccer Takes Another Victory At Home Against Cape Fear Community College

SOUTH PRINCE GEORGE, VA -- The Richard Bland College of William & Mary men's soccer team defeated Cape Fear 3-0 this afternoon at Statesman Soccer Field.

With this victory, the Statesmen improve to 5-0-1 for the season. Next up for the Statesmen will be USC Lancaster at the Statesmen Soccer Field for a 4pm kickoff on Thursday, September 13th.

The Statesmen opened the scoring with a long ranged shot from outside the Cape Fear's 18 yard box by freshman Henrique Eichenberger. His goal was assisted by freshman Nehemie Nemontokou. Freshman Antonio Ferreira doubled the Statemen's lead with a clinical placed shot to the Cape Fear's goalkeeper's right. He was assisted by freshman Henrique Eichenberger who provided a nicely timed ball into the Cape Fear's 18 yard box. The Statesmen third and final goal was a penalty kick which was converted by sophomore Umar Mujahid who got on the score sheet for a consecutive game in a row.
