SOUTH PRINCE GEORGE, Va. -- Richard Bland College has been ranked No. 7 in this week's NJCAA Division II Men's Basketball Poll, as released Tuesday afternoon. The Statesmen are currently 9-2 overall, including 4-0 in Region 10, with four consecutive region wins by an average margin of 32 points.
Richard Bland is ranked among the National Top 10 for the second-straight week, though down one spot from No. 6 last week, and has won nine of its first 11 games this season.
Cuyahoga (Ohio) Community College (13-0) is ranked No. 1 in this week's poll, up four spots from No. 5 last week. Fellow Region 10 member Bryant & Stratton College (7-1) is ranked No. 14 this week (up from No. 16), while Region 10 member Louisburg (N.C.) College (8-3) is ranked No. 15 this week (down from No. 11).
Richard Bland will play two more game this week before the Christmas Holiday break, including a Region 10 road game at Fayetteville Technical (N.C.) Community College on Wednesday, December 13, at 7 p.m. in Fayetteville, North Carolina and a non-region home game against CCBC Catonsville (Md.) on Friday, Dec. 15, at 6 p.m. in Statesman Hall.
